Os vencedores do ENnie Awards 2024
O RPG
old school Shadowdark saiu como grande vencedor da edição 2024 da premiação
ENnie Awards. Foram quatro premiações com as medalhas de ouro em Melhor Jogo,
Melhor Layout Design, Melhores Regra, além da cobiçadíssima medalha de ouro em Produto
do Ano. Isso jogou todos os holofites para a criadora Kelsey Dionne e sua
equipe da The Arcane Library.
Shadowdark foi
um pouco lento entre os fãs, onde fez seu nome principalmente por meio do boca
a boca nos anos seguintes ao início da pandemia de COVID-19. Mas foi necessária
uma campanha extremamente bem-sucedida no Kicksatrter em 2023 para
realmente trazer o jogo à tona. Lá, ele arrecadou quase US$ 1,4 milhão de
dólarers — uma quantia considerável para um RPG de mesa de qualquer tipo, principalmente
um old school. É um sistema de regras leves que se traduz bem para jogadores
que começaram na 5ª edição de D&D e perfeito para Mestres e grupos que
buscam experiências mais abertas e menos lineares.
Outro
que mostrou à que veio foi ultraviolento Eat The Reich da Rowan, Rook e Decard
que também ganhou vários prêmios nesta edição da premiação, levando as medalhas
de ouro para Melhor Arte, Melhor Arte de Capa e Interior, bem como Melhor
Aventura - Formato Curto. É fácil ver o porquê: este RPG coloca os jogadores no
papel de vampiros poderosos que são jogados em caixão na Paris ocupada com o
objetivo singular de beber todo o sangue de Adolf Hitler. Foi escrito por Grant
Howitt, e ilustrado por Will Kirkby, que trabalhou com a Critical Role, bem
como com a Image Comics, Dark Horse Comics e Boom! Studios.
