Os vencedores do Ennies Awards 2018

No último final de semana tivemos a GenCon 2018, e como em todo ano tivemos a eleição dos vencedores do Ennies Awards. Nesta edição tivemos uma mudança já esperada. A fragmentação de editoras vencedoras foi notória.

Editoras de peso como Wizard of the Coast e Paizo tiveram que se contentar com apenas um prêmio cada uma: medalha de ouro para a WotC na categoria Escolha do Fã e medalha de prata para a Paizo na categoria Melhor Cartografia pelo suplemento Pacto World. O sumiço dessas duas grandes papa-prêmios tanto da concorrência nas várias categorias, quanto da vitória naquelas que concorriam, se deve principalmente à um ano com um menor fluxo de lançamentos - muito embora a Paizo concorresse com seu último grande lançamento: Starfinder.

Com isso temos uma fragmentação de premiações para editoras que fogem desse eixo. Mas nem podemos dizer que isso é um fenômeno diretamente ligado apenas à falta de lançamentos desses dois gigantes. Nos últimos anos temos presenciado uma grande atividade de editoras anteriormente percebidas como ‘pequenas’, mas que têm garantido um importante lugar no mapa do mercado de RPG. O público tem procurado coisas novas, ideias novas, mecânicas novas... novidades de todos os tipos! Em 2017 as grandes vencedoras foram a Chaosium Inc e a Free League Publishing. Neste ano o destaque ficou com a Chaosium Inc e com Arc Dream Publishing, e mesmo assim com muitas outras editoras misturando-se entre medalhas de ouro e prata.
